Born in the mountains of Norway, Woolf boasts Norwegian pro-snowboarder Ståle Sandbech as an early investor, collaborator and ambassador.
The new collection will be available via WoolfMerino.com and selected retailers across Europe and North America.
Woolf’s deep roots in snowboarding and skiing come from its hometown of Hemsedal, Norway, a mountain village in the Scandinavian Alps. Hemsedal’s demanding conditions have been both an inspiration and a proving ground for the collection. As industry experts who have influenced snowboard and ski culture on a global scale, Woolf’s founders discovered there were few functional, adaptive, and resilient base-layer options rooted in the culture that they lived and breathed. Their answer would become Woolf Merino.
Made with the softest, warmest, odour-resistant, moisture-managing and sustainably sourced Merino wool available, Woolf products provide the ultimate in comfort, dryness and protection. Designed in Norway and manufactured in the world’s first Greenpeace certified production facility in Europe, Woolf aims to create a positive environmental and social impact on the planet, without the use of harmful chemicals and without draining natural resources.
“When I first heard about Woolf from these guys, I knew this was something I had to be a part of. There was no authentic first layer brand that I connected to, and it’s something I felt had been missing from the industry.”, Ståle Sandbech, Ambassador and Athlete
The collection offers two distinct lines: ‘High-Performance’, featuring a TENCEL® | Merino wool blend; and ‘Everyday’, featuring 100% merino wool. Products include long-sleeved and short-sleeved top & bottom (men and women), socks, balaclava, beanie, and neck gaiter. Both Merino Wool and TENCEL® fibres are composed of natural material and are biodegradable, so they’re compostable and can fully revert back to nature.
Woolf Merino will be available at selected retailers across Europe and North America and via woolfmerino.com starting 1st Nov 2022. For more information or questions about distribution please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
