AKU has chosen to design a shoe with an incredibly natural shape to the forefoot. Combined with a reduced heel drop and excellent flexibility, this gives a very natural feel to your walking stride.

The comfort doesn’t stop there. Offering an incredibly high level of breathability for longer treks and all-day wear, both versions feature AKU’s AIR8000® - a specially designed and made fabric whose level of breathability increases over a period of 24 hours up to more than 11 times that of conventionally made textiles.

The upper is made with recycled textiles and chrome free leather, and the collar with Zero Impact leather, backing AKU’s commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its products, whilst ensuring the quality and technical functions remain intact.

The sole is made with AKU’s newly developed Tenuta Grip, a special rubber compound that delivers stability.  It results in the forefoot of the shoe inclining inwards at toe-off and the heel inclining outwards at initial contact - helping the shoe to adhere on rugged terrains.

The GTX version includes added GORE-TEX Extended Comfort elastic in the lining – combining GORE-TEX’s waterproofing technology with optimised breathability. The Libra GTX is the shoe to choose for the warmest conditions or more intense activity levels.
