The new Remote Hike introduces the next iteration of Berghaus’ innovative Freeflow technology, with greater flexibility and reduced weight, designed specifically for lighter loads and at a lower price point. Berghaus has refined the construction to reduce weight, while retaining the high level of breathability delivered by the Freeflow. Available in men’s and women’s specific versions, the Remote Hike is packed with features, including: Freeflow back system for outstanding breathability; zipped quick access pocket; large expandable front stash pocket; two expandable side pockets; YKK zip entry into the main compartment; dual walking pole holder; additional on-the-go pole holder; chest and waist straps and volume compression system for great adjustment and to ensure a comfortable fit; and hydration system compatibility.

The bag is made out of 100% recycled Seawastex, a nylon fabric that is made entirely of ocean waste, from clutch strings to other used oyster farm materials. With 23L of internal capacity and additional external volume, the Remote Hike is an ideal size for long days in the outdoors. Both men’s and women’s Remote Hikes weigh under 900g and retail at £110, available from March at www.berghaus.com and from selected specialist outdoor retailers.

Summit Seeker GTX Jacket

The Berghaus Summit Seeker jacket occupies the sweet spot of delivering robust, yet lightweight waterproof protection in the mountains. Made out of 3L GORE-TEX ePE, the jacket is tough, breathable and packable, and boasts a full set of features for day hikes and backpacking.

Available in men’s and women’s specific versions, the Berghaus Summit Seeker uses the latest 30D 3L GORE-TEX ePE fabric with a 100% recycled polyamide face and backer. The jacket is built to allow exceptional freedom of movement, with gusseted underarms and articulated sleeves, plus a dropped tail for added protection. Other features include: Water resistance full length two-way front zip; single point adjustable fixed hood with stiffened peak; pit zips for dumping heat when working hard; two raised zipped hand pockets that can be accessed with ease while wearing a pack; internal zipped security pocket; hook and loop adjustable cuffs; and dual hem adjustment. The women’s Summit Seeker jacket weighs 472g (size 12) and the men’s weighs 542g (size large). It will retail at £320 and be available from March at www.berghaus.com and from selected specialist outdoor retailers.
