The fit:Really fabulous. I am long and thin and for once I have a jacket that is a slim fit but also long enough in the body and arms. The sleeves feature thumb loops and I would normally have to ignore these because the sleeves are too short but not on this jacket. The jacket has a useful hood and front pockets, too. The look is classic and stylish in equal measures. I have worn the jacket a few times and each time I’ve had favourable comments from other people.
Well-made:The Hemle is beautifully made. The stitching looks very robust. The edging, for example at the cuffs, on the thumb loops and at the bottom of the jacket are beautifully finished with a stretchy and long-lasting edging material. The jacket is priced at £120 but for once I think the cost is worth it. This jacket looks like it will last a very long time.
Great shades: The range of colours in the Humle Jacket is fab. For women: Primula Striped/Timothy Green, Cobalt Striped/Dark Tulip, Ocean Striped/Hot Red, Grey Striped/Grapefruit. And for men, Emerald Striped/Cobalt Blue, Cobalt Striped/ Green, Ocean Striped/Sunset, Grey Striped/Red.
Other products in the Tecnowool range include: Bergflette, Einer and Mogop jackets, all priced £120. Seewww.bergans.com
A few words about Bergans
I have only recently become more familiar with Bergans of Norway clothing and I am already very impressed. I reviewed a Bergans baselayer and really liked it.
Bergans are, unsurprisingly, based in Norway so keeping warm when outdoors is important. They have been in business since 1908 when they produced their first rucksack. In more recent times, their product list has expanded to include lots of rucksacks for adults and kids, as well as child backpack carriers. Their clothing has also come a long way since the first designs in 1967 and they now sell ski wear, walking and mountain wear, as well as army, hunting and more casual clothing lines. Other products include tents, sleeping bags, canoe and even knives!
Sometimes I give away the outdoors clothing that I test. This Bergans Hemle will be going nowhere other than on me!
